A Season of Lobbying

We have been busy over the Autumn speaking at party, trade union and activist conferences...

Local Government Conference

OBJECT  spoke at the Local Government Association Conference. This powerful lobbying body, representing local authorities across England and Wales, has been a staunch supporter of our Stripping the Illusion Campaign on lap dancing. We urged councils to take action against the proliferation of lap dancing clubs by adopting the new licensing now available to them because of our work.

You can now use our lap dancing toolkits to lobby your local council to regulate and control lap dancing clubs as sex establishments not cafes: Take Action Here

Party Conference Season

OBJECT's and Eaves' Demand Change! campaign on the sex industry ran fringe meetings at the Liberal Democrat, Green Party, and Conservative Party Conferences. We met with key political figures and lobbied for action to tackle the demand for commercial sexual exploitation, to fund exit services for those exploited through the sex industry and to stem a wider culture of sexual objectification.

Trade Union and ..
OBJECT spoke at the UNISON regional conference - a trade union that has been a long term supporter of our work.
