Membership Co-ordinator
£300/month; 2 days/week  
1 year 


We seek a membership co-ordinator to fulfil the vital role of managing our membership base.
This entails :
  •  Liaising with new, existing and potential members
  • Managing our membership databases
  • Producing monthly membership reports
  • Dealing with educational material and merchandise.

You would need to be able to think logically, be highly organised, able to handle confidential information appropriately and have good interpersonal skills.

Fundraising Working Group


Are you imaginative? Can you think laterally? Do you have some time to spare? Our newly formed Fundraising Working Group is currently brainstorming potential patrons - with Polly Toynbee of the Guardian as our first ever patron. It is also thinking of funky merchandise and dreaming up fun awareness-raising events.

Previous experience in fundraising not essential.


 

Educational Working Group


Do you work in education? Can you help us develop an educational strategy? We aim to develop materials and later a consultancy/workshop programme to: 

  • Raise awareness about the harm done by objectification, prostitution, pornography and sexism generally
  • Start to embed these topics in appropriate syllabuses such as Citizenship, PSHE, history, psychology etc 

We could target primary and secondary schools, colleges and adult education organisations as well as parent group, carers and professionals working with families.
 
We are looking for people with expertise in these areas, particularly those with experience in writing or publishing educational materials and time to commit to help us. Knowledge of curriculum content will help us to position our materials so that they will be widely used. We will also need schools/colleges/groups of parents who are prepared to allow us to trial our ideas and give feedback.
