Thank you Team OBJECT
So far we have raised a fantastic £3,070!
Thank you so much to all those who took part in the Adidas Women's 5K Challenge on 11 September 2011 - the hugely popular women-only 5 kilometre, run around London’s Hyde Park. Last year OBJECT staff, volunteers and supporters taking part in this event raised just over £1,250. This year our target is £3,500 and we are nearly there. So far Team OBJECT have raised £3,070!
It was a brilliant morning and the atmosphere at the event was amazing. This year team OBJECT had two celebrity runners, eminent psychologist, author of the former Government's Review into the Sexualisation of Young People, Dr Linda Papadopoulos and award winning comedian Josie Long who have both done a fantastic job of raising funds and raising OBJECT's profile at the event.
With 15,000 women taking part in the event and an estimated 50,000 supporters, the 5K is the perfect opportunity to raise awareness. Wearing OBJECT Tee shirts, waving OBJECT placards, cheering the runners on and handing our leaflets, OBJECT supporters were able to reach a large audience and got a great response from the women at the event.
